The First Generation Smartphone for Entertainment and Professionals

Apple/Macintosh/Mac or whatever you want to call it is a professional’s dream. So it was no big surprise when many professionals dropped their Palms or Blackberrys for the Apple iPhone. It was cutting edge and still until this day may be the most user friendly smartphone out. But, will it do for your professional needs?

The iPhone comes with many perks. Itunes, Safari web browser, and acts just like an iPod Touch only with calling features. Still these are more for non-professional and have no use for you in your professional world. The iPhone does have a touch screen which may be more comfortable to you than the small keys on other smartphones.

Just because the Iphone was marketed as a consumer friendly and entertainment phone does not mean it cannot and will not suffice for your business purposes. I personally know of many professionals from attorneys to neurosurgeons with the Iphone. So it can definitely fit whatever lifestyle you have as a mail clerk to the CEO of a Fortune 500.

Some great apps for the Iphone for professionals are iZoho (alternative to Microsoft Office), Expense View, iActu, and Toodledo.
